WHAT WE DO
An anesthesiologist´s main duty is to give anestesia to patients undergoing surgery. There are many different types of anestesia such as, general anestesia, spinal anestesia, skin anestesia, and brain anestesia. If it werent for anesthesioligists, surgery would be very unpleasent to undergo. They also conduct medical research to cure diseases.

To become an anesthesioligist you have to complete a four year bachelor's degree. Then you take four years of graduate education leading to a degree in medicine M.D or osteopathy D.O. After receiving a degree in medicine, you must complete four more years in anesthesiology residency.
