SLIME VS OOBLECK

F

Isabela Velarde Díaz

Which one has more uses?

Non-newtonian fluids

Non-newtonian fluids are fluids that their viscocity can depend on applied force.

Some examples of non newtonian fluids are oobleck and slime.

Slime=There are many ways to make slime but in this project I used bully glue and gillete shaving cream.

oobleck=

Water and cornstarch mixed together. If you apply force it will act like a solid but if you apply slow force it will act like a liquid.

Materials

For the oobleck I used WATER and CORNSTARCH and a PLASTIC STICK to mix.

For the slime I used BULLY GLUE and GILLETE SHAVING CREAM and a PLASTICK STICK to mix.

For the experiments i used my hand to punch, a kitchen utensil to press and a butter knife to slice and stab.

Variables

Independent

The amount of materials to make the substances.

Dependent

How much it will resist and what type of slime I am making

PROCEDURE

I used 1 part glue and 3 parts glue and then I mixed it with the plastic stick untill it started to come together and then I mixed it with my hands so it wouldnt be so sticky.
