Angelman syndrome is a genetic disorder. It causes developmental disabilities, neurological problems and sometimes, seizures. People with Angelman syndrome often smile and laugh frequently, and have happy personalities.
Angelman Syndrome occurs on the paternal uniparental disomy chromosome.
The type of mutation that Angelman Syndrom is a Chromosomal Mutation. It's a deletion in the maternal chromosome 15 or by paternal uniparental disomy.
There are many treatments one of them is therapy such as occupational therapy which improves daily living and work skills of patients. Another is Physical therapy which restores muscle strength and function through exercise. There is also behavior therapy
