  • it takes roughly 6-12 months until babies are born
  • the male and female basically scream at eachother when they are ready to reproduce
  • the female usually has one baby, rarely ever twins

  • they can last 9 days in a tree without having to get down for the bathroom
  • they mostly eat leaves from the mangrove trees they are in, making it easier for them to stay in one place

  • they happen to be very good at swimming
  • the pygmy three-toed sloths main forms of defense are camouflage and stealth, whereby they avoid predation largely by avoiding detection
  • they survive attacks due to their tough hides, strong grips and a remarkable healing ability
  • they have algae on them that helps with camouflage and helps with their health, they often get it from their mothers
