MMC Ireland Working Group

Commission and create MMC Videos that represent the membership on the website

Support industry MMC upskilling with accessible content on the capability and innovative approach of MMC Ireland Members

Produce a communication framework for MMC Ireland Members to regularly provide information on their capacity, product innovation, challenges & opportunities and assess options to combine this into a regular MMC Ireland report for industry.

Raise awareness across industry stakeholders and future generations of construction professionals on opportunities within the MMC Market in Ireland

MMC Ireland Awareness & Education

Create a membership engagement plan and implement including CPD's, Guest Speaker engagements, Blogposts, Lunch & Learn Sessions with members and Innovation Lessons Learnt.

Work with educational bodies eg. Skillsnet to support MMC education and skills eg. Support an MMC Competency Matrix, Schools Visits, develop Training Materials.

Raise awareness on MMC with the public and educational bodies, via industry collaboration and media channels

Become a leading voice on the MMC Market in Ireland via conferences and media engagement with a consistent and informed viewpoint communicated across each public communication channel.

Map out and implement a collaboration plan with industry (eg. Construct Innovate, Enterprise Ireland, CIF, Lean Construction Ireland, Build Digital, the MMC Demonstration Park, and other bodies and working groups) to ensure that we are learning from other initiatives and contributing where objectives are aligned.

Collaborate with industry to support innovation and increased adoption of MMC

Identify where MMC Ireland has plans or initiatives that could be eligible for funding or support current funded initatives and prepare business cases to become involved or to apply for funding.

Raise awareness on MMC market capacity and constraints with government

MMC Ireland National Policy Support & Integration

'Tool-up' government departments and agencies by collating and presenting a report with factual, current knowledge of the capabilities of the MMC Market. (aligned with 'communication framework' in 1.1.2)

Collaborate to innovate and increase the MMC market capacity supporting delivery of government policy

Prepare procurement data/knowledge and gather lessons learned from members and from industries abroad to support procurement reform that will increase MMC capacity and capability

Influence procurement reform to increase MMC market capacity

Identify and liaise with stakeholders (eg. government agencies) on how a reformed procurement approach could aggregate demand for all MMC providers and enable investment in manufacturing.

Collate and publish case studies that compare MMC Methodologies to traditional construction in terms of Key Metrics, including carbon (Life Cycle Analysis), cost, labour, time, quality and safety

Support data capture and knowledge sharing of MMC systems performance metrics as compared with traditional construction

Create an Industry Design Guide for 3D Modular Systems.

Encourage the procurement and adoption of MMC methodologies through the provision of factual data, sustainability metrics and technical guidance
