Communication Skills

Students will learn how to structure information in creating news reports and deliver them using verbal and non-verbal techniques to communicate with the audience.

Media Literacy Skills

Students will learn how to locate, organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize and ethically use information from a variety of sources and media (including digital social media and online networks) in creating news reports.

Organization Skills

Students will practice managing time and tasks effectively and creating plans to prepare for summative assessments.

Goal - Your goal is to demonstrate your ability in listening comprehension and speaking skills through the tasks. Through the video given for the listening test and some research, you will gather some information that you will use to create a news broadcast.

Role - As a committee member of the news broadcast in your school, you are assigned to broadcast on gender inequality which is currently trending in your life.

Audience - Since you are a committee member of a school new broadcast society, the audience will be the students, teachers and staff members of the school.

Scenario - As a talented committee member of the news broadcast society of Tzu Chi School, a video of gender inequality was shown during assembly. Based on the video, prepare a report on it and deliver it in a broadcast.
