Choose one of our band pieces or another piece that you enjoy. Go outside and take a picture of something you feel captures the essence of that piece of music. Briefly describe why you feel that picture represents that piece!

Remember, most melodies start on Tonic (home note) and end on Tonic for listener stability and finality! Remember, most melodies start on Tonic (home note) and end on Tonic for listener stability and finality! Remember our discussion about intervals. Now with two voices, you must take harmony into consideration. Listen to your sound and experiment with which harmonies sound pleasing and which do not sound pleasing to the ear. (Advanced version - see if you can create a melody that uses dissonant and consonant harmonies that demonstrate tension and release in music. ) Links can be submitted via the Google Form.
