John Locke (1632-1704), was an English philosopher and Enlightenment thinker who opposed many ideas by Hobbes. Locke was famous his idea of tabula rasa (blank slate) and natural rights. Both Locke and Hobbes influenced each others philosophies and played major roles in the Enlightenment.

Salvador Allende (1908-1973) was the leader of Chile. He was greatly influenced by the Russian Revolution and the ideals of Marxism. He implemented socialist ideals while leader of Chile.
