John Symon Asher "Jack" Bruce born on 14 May 1943 and died on 25 October 2014. He was a Scottish bassist, singer-songwriter, musician and composer. He is best known as the lead singer and bassist for the British rock band Cream. After the group disbanded in 1968, he pursued a solo career and also played in several bands. In the early 1960s, Bruce joined the Graham Bond Organization (GBO), where he met future bandmate Ginger Baker.
