The 4 Cardinal virtues are very important habits that we should have so that we could go to heaven and so that we could become good people in life. If we start to use these virtues everyday then that means that will will also start to act like Jesus Christ!

Example

JESUS IS THE PERFECt EXAMPLE AND THE BEST ROLE MODEL OF ALL 4 CARDINAL VIRTUES. HE LIVED ALL 4 CARDINAL VIRTUES TRUTHFULLY.

Justice

The virtue of Justice is treating everyone fairly no matter who they are or what they’ve done in their life. This virtue is important because it helps us live in peace without anybody criticizing or complaining about one another. Justice also means that you stand up for what is right even if it is hard to say or unpopular. Justice is the most important virtue of all the Cardinal Virtues.

Example

Example

You see someone getting bullied and everybody is watching them and even though you feel uncomfortable you stand up for them and save them from the bullying. This is a great example of the virtue of justice.

Temperance

Temperance is all about not letting things control you. It is knowing whether to say yes or no to things. If you get obsessed with something and don’t let it go then you don’t have much self control, in other words you don’t have a lot of temperance. Temperance is to basically have self control over ourselves.

Example

Let's say that there is a game that is so fun that you start to play everyday. The day after you play again and the day after too and so on. You spend your whole day playing that game and doing nothing else. Temperance would be to control how much you play that game every day. If you cannot control that then you have to start to practice this virtue.

Prudence

Prudence is using your head to make good decisions. It is the little voice in your head telling you whether you should do this or that. Basically, prudence is the ability to make good choices based on what you think is right or wrong.

Example

Lets say you get money from your birthday and you want to buy the first thing that comes to mind, but then you start to think if you should buy it and maybe you end up saving your money for something better. This is a great example of prudence because it shows that you were thinking about what you were going to do before you did it.

Fortitude

Fortitude is about being courageous when you face challenges. It means to have the strength to go against hard situations even when you're scared or uncomfortable. Fortitude is also about not giving up when there are hard times in your life. This does not mean that you are supposed to be fearless; it’s more about confronting your fears and to struggle through them. In the end, fortitude is like your inner strength that helps you face things and push through them.

You see someone being bullied, and you speak out and do something about even if it feels uncomfortable, that shows big signs of fortitude.
