Introduction

- Most of consumer purchases in pharmacies are not planned very far in advance.

- Pharmacy managers should be use the pharmacy design, layout of fixtures, and the products to affect the purchasing behavior of their customers.

Layout: Is an arrangement or a plan , especially the schematic arrangement of parts or areas.

- so what is layout ?

- why it's importance?

why it's important : It plays significant role in the development of the customers perception which have a positive impact on its sale potential.

- To attract a large number of customers.

- To increase the sale and decrease the selling Expenses.

- Proper entrance for goods.

- To have space for reserve stock, office and resting place for the employees.

Pharmacy Design

- Today’s consumers demand convenience, service, and the good environment in the pharmacy .

- It is important to select the most appropriate design aspects for a pharmacy without becoming too trendy or rapidly outdated.

- To determine a pharmacy design, the managers

must determine the characteristics and needs of the customers to be served.

Another key point when designing a pharmacy is to make sure that prescription dispensing, and counseling sections are in step with the profession.

pharmacists providing an array of patient counseling and pharmaceutical care services, additional space for pharmacists to talk privately with patients may be needed.

Many pharmacies also sell items that do not require a prescription, but they often sell better if a pharmacist is available to explain their use to patients (e.g., durable medical equipment, blood glucose monitors, or natural products).
