Germany is forced to sign Treaty of Versailles.

The Germany Goverment was decided to sign The Treaty of Versailles on June 28th, 1919 . This is because they were/wanted to make peace. This also made them force to give up territory to Belgium.

1919

National Socialist German Workers’ Party, or NSDAP.

Hitler is able to become chairman of his party, which is renamed the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, or NSDAP. This is what really led Hitler to his power in the later years.

1921

Beer Hall Putsch

Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party staged the Beer Hall Putsch in Munich. In result it failed, there was no more takeover of the government in Bavaria, a state in southern Germany.

Hitlers free

Now that Hitler is free, The Nazi Party had moved away from Hitler's influence when he went to Jail. Now that Hitler is free, Hitler wants to reasserts control, and he is say that he is in power.

The Harzburg Front is formed

When the Harzburg Front was formed, they tried to organize Germany’s right wing into a workable opposition to the government and the left. When this was formed, Hitler joined.

Adolf Hitler appointed Chancellor of Germany

One January 30th, 1933 Hitler came to rise and became the Chancellor of Germany. This year was his year of coming to power.

Hitler proclaims himself Führer und Reichskanzler

Führer und Reichskanzler stands for (Leader and Reich Chancellor). Now that he is Chancellor, Armed forces must now swear allegiance to him

Nuremberg Laws

On September 15th 1935 The Nuremberg Laws: anti-Jewish racial laws enacted. Jews were no longer considered German citizens, Jews could not marry Germans, and they couldn't fly the German flag

Sachsenhausen concentration camp opens

In July 1936 Sachsenhausen concentration camp opens. It was the first concentration camp to be established with Reich Leader SS Heinrich Himmler as the Chief of the German Police in July 1936.

1936

Buchenwald concentration camp opens

A year after the Sachsenhausen concentration camp had opened so did Buchenwald. This camp was one of the first and the largest of the concentration camps within Germany.

Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass)

On November 9-10 The Kristallnacht had tooken place, an anti-Jewish pogrom in Germany, Austria, and the Sudetenland. So many things were destoryed that day, by people we have no clue today.

Beginning of World War II

On September 1st, 1939 the beginning of World War II Had started. This war is when Germany invaded Poland. This war lasted till 1945.

Germany starts invading.

On May 10th, 1940 Germany started to invaded the Netherlands. They also invaded Belgium, Luxembourg, and France.

1940

United States declares war on Japan and Germany

On December 11th The United States declares a war on Japan and Germany. This was exactl one day after the attack on Pearl Harber. This prompted Germany to declare war on the United States, which led to the United States to declare war on Germany.

1941

LA HERO

Attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler

Claus von Stauffenberg and other conspirators attempted to assassinate Adolf Hitler on July 20th, 1944. Claus had planted a brief case holding bombs but it failed. Hitler walked out alive.

1944

Hitler commits suicide.

On April 30th, Hitler had commited suicide. He had by swallowing a cyanide capsule and shooting himself in the head.
