Let's get down to business
To defeat the Huns
Did they send me daughters
When I asked for sons?
You're the saddest bunch I ever met
But you can bet before we're through
Mister, I'll make a man out of you
Tranquil as a forest
But on fire within
Once you find your center
You are sure to win
You're a spineless pale pathetic lot
And you haven't got a clue
Somehow I'll make a man out of you
I'm never gonna catch my breath
Say goodbye to those who knew me
Why was I a fool in school for cutting gym?
This guy's got them scared to death!
Hope he doesn't see right through me
Now I really wish that I knew how to swim
Time is racing toward us
'Til the Huns arrive
Heed my every order
And you might survive
You're unsuited for the rage of war
So pack up, go home, you're through
How could I make a man out of you?
We must be swift as the coursing river
(Be a man)
With all the force of a great typhoon
(Be a man)
With all the strength of a raging fire
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon
We must be swift as the coursing river
(Be a man)
With all the force of a great typhoon
(Be a man)
With all the strength of a raging fire
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon
We must be swift as the coursing river
(Be a man)
With all the force of a great typhoon
(Be a man)
With all the strength of a raging fire
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon

Unit 3:
Cultural Patterns/Processes
Identity is how humans make sense of themselves and how they wish to be viewed by others. Culture, ethnicity, and gender are major factors that establish a person’s identity. And identity affects how people occupy space in society and shape the landscape. People’s cultural beliefs and identities influence how they use the land they occupy and its resources.
Ex: People who subscribe to the Old Order Amish refuse modern conveniences like cars, trucks, modern farming equipment, and even electricity, instead using horses and plows and gas/battery-operated lights. They view their farming practices as coinciding with their values of discipline and hard work.
Cultural Landscape is a natural landscape that has been modified by humans, reflecting their cultural beliefs and values. It is the human imprint on the landscape, and it offers clues about cultural practices and priorities, both past and present.
Ex: Shiroyone is part of an agricultural tradition that has been in place in Japan for more than 1,300 years. The terraces built there support the local industry of rice production and create a habitat for local wildlife. The population that gathers in this region has shaped a unique cultural landscape, defined by terracing rice paddies.
In this song, I believe two thing are happening.
