WOMEN IN SOCIETY
Women,
Your body is a battlefield. Day by day the media objectifies women on their
looks , intelligence amongst other things. But how must you ask? Women are
overly sexualized by the high beauty standards. Making it absolutely impossible
due to photo shopping. Leaving girls who don’t fit these standards disgusted
by them selves. As a child we are taught that being beautiful is the
most important thing. Which renders young women to idolize those viewed
on television as sexy.
Which causes those dreams and aspirations to become shattered because we
are also taught that certain genders are set to have certain careers in society .
Given the fact that if a women enjoys such an activity its not for herself but
for the intention of others. But even in some cases women who achieve these
jobs are none other accused of being selfish and are often looked down upon
because “society believes that she didn't earn it. “
Given the case where questioned identity of self worth, integrity and loyalty.
Double standards play a major role in the life's of others because if you don’t
look, dress, and talk a certain way , Its hard to be a unique if society ridicules
you as a lesser because you are a women in society.
And from that women constantly being verbally and physically assaulted by
men who view women more of an object than a human being.
Thinking that if they are dressed a certain way then they are asking for it . But if
society continues turn away from this sexist behavior the value of women and self
worth will forever diminish the beauty of all women no matter the shape, size, color.
