Final 'S'

There are three types of Final 's'

Final "s, es and ies" of simple present

Final "s" as plural

Final 's' as possession

Final "s, es and ies" of simple present

Final 's' is added to most verbs

Example:

Visit = Visits Speak = Speaks Ride = Rides

Ex. - Today, she visits her mom

- Arid Shidqi breaks her heart

Final "es" of simple present

Final 'es'

It is added to words that end in " ch, sh, s, x, and z "

Example:

Catch = Catches Wash = Washes Miss = Misses

Ex. She washes her uniform

The singular forms of the verbs "Go, Do, and Have" are irregular.

Go = Goes

Do = Does

Final 'ies' of simple present

Final 'ies'

If a word ends in a consonant + y, change the 'y' to "ies"

Example:

Fly = Flies Cry = Cries

The baby cries at night

If a word ends in a vowel + y, simple add "s"

Example:

Pay = Pays Lay = Lays

The woman lays her hand on me

Final 's' as plural

It is used for countable noun which expresses more than one.

Example:

Car = Cars Laptop = Laptops

I have two laptops

I have some cars

To show possession.

Example:

Ricky's house Ucok's house

Ex. I will go to sleep at Ucok's house

Noun that ends with 's'

Example:

Dimas' house Denis'house

Ex. She went to Dimas' house
