the cold war most famously happened because of communism vs capitalism as the USSR ideal was very opposed to the US ideal and vice versa

The Cold War created new millitary alliances, incuding NATO, and the Warsaw Pact. The Cold War let to nuclear proliferation, an the proxy wars btween the U.S and the Soviet Union. By the late 1960s dissent slowly increased reaching a climax.

The Cold War started in Europe in 1945 to 1953, the USSR expanded its influence by creating the Eastern Bloc across states like Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary.

from 1945 to 1953 Stalin and the Soviets wanted to expand communism into Europe and around the world so the United States led by Harry S. Truman and his nation, and the free world wanted to preserve freedom where it existed and spread it where it did not.

There was no one process of decolonization. In some areas, it was peaceful, and orderly. In many others, independence was achieved only after a protracted revolution

During India there a leader of the Indian named gandhi National Congress who used mass civil disobedience and nonviolent protests to lead India to independence in 1947 from the britian and also he called for unity between Hindus and Muslims.

  • French to west africa (1848-1958)

1946- The Philippines becomes the fisrt colonie to be independent after World War II.

1947- India and Pakistan had aslo clamed their own independents after ww2, on August 15, 1947.

1953- Cambodia gained it's independence form France on November 9, 1953.
