The Sahalenthropus was from West Africa and is the oldest known species in the family tree. The Sahalenthropus stood/walked vertically. With these species being able to walk upright, it is thought to have helped them survive in different habitats. The Sahalenthropus is an ape like creature that inhabits human like features as well. This includes small canine and a small brain.
The Orroin tugensis is also one of the oldest known species along slide with the Sahelanthropus. The Orroin tugensis has the embodyment of a chimpanzee. Its teeth was small but thick similar to humans. These obtained the nickname of "Millenium Man"
Australopithecus was believed to live around 4 million years ago in Eastern Africa. The Australopithecus shared common features of both ape and the modern day human. It consists of a shin bone which sort of resembles a human like ankle joint. Other features that scientist have found is that the wrist bones are formed and are postively used for climbing trees.
Ardithecus ramidus was known for having the features of a rigid foot. This species was first discovered in the earlys 90's. Ardithecus ramidus habited the wooden environment. The Ardithecus
