REFORM!!!!

  • Most reform movements began in bigger cities
  • Political reformers attempted to create government that represented ALL people
  • Improving working conditions (especially for women and children) was a priority for Progressives
  • Election reform gave more power to citizens

- The Illinois Factory Act made it illegal to employ children under the age of 14.
