The Exposition
The story told in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz takes place in the late 1930's, on the "gray" prairies of Kansas. Dorothy Gale, a little girl lives there on a farm with her dog, Toto, and her relatives Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. One day a cyclone hits there farm and everyone but Dorothy and her dog, Toto, made it to their storm cellar. Dorothy and Toto got to the house and Just as they made the cyclone swept up the house.
