Jericho

In the Beginning...

1

Jericho first was mentioned in the bible in Numbers 22:1

"Then the chidren of Israel moved, and camped in the plains of Moab on the side of the Jordan across from Jericho"

In this scripture Balak, the king of the Moab, has sent Balaam to curse the people that have come from Egypt. However, God has already promised his people that those who curse them will be cursed and those who bless them will be blessed also. God tells Balaam that he will not go and curse the people because they are blessed,
