Sentinel appears to be super promising both as as short and long term (1Y+) investment. Short term the demand should be huge, long term the potential is significant due to scope.
The project is at a very early stage of development however - this is something that has to be considered however.

All of the things indicating great short term investment are here: low hardca, low mcap, partnerships, hype, contribution limits due to proof of support, low and locked bonuses. The tokens should be in demand once on exchanges.
Long term investment score: 8.7/10
There very long term (1-2y+) potential is absolutely amazing with the project possibly dominating the regional markets. However there will be few months between sale and when the tokens are in demand so this is something to consider.

- The Sentinel Chain is a business to business marketplace designed to provide affordable and secure financial services to the unbanked.
- The project will be divided into 6 main sections:
- for insurance companies to publish livestock insurance on blockchain
- loan agreements on blockchain, hedged on livestock collateral
- collateral to borrow from overseas financing companies
- crowdfunding platforms, community projects and electronic payments with local merchants
- Verdict: Big in scope project with several promising segments. The main feature is actually quite unique so the potential is there with the possibility of the project dominating the market.

- The website is simple but it manages to present the information really well. Not very flashy but clear and to the point.
- Whitepaper is 50 pages - very detailed but the information could be presented better with some graphs or pictures. There is no other paperwork like one pagers or presentations.
- The roadmap is very detailed, official blog available but no FAQ. All of the social media is there.
- The team is listed on the website with links to LinkedIn. No team descriptions
- Verdict: The quality is okay - there are some potential improvements like FAQ or one pagers but good overall with the information presented well.

- There is a product demo of the Livestock RFID Tag With CrossPay - video available on Youtube showing the functionality. Trial in Bangladesh recently annouced.
- The beta testing will take place in Q2 2018 with the CrossPay going live in the first unbanked market in Q4 2018.
- The full version (Sentinel Chain v1.0) will go live at the beginning of 2019 but the documentation surrounding the project appears to be very technical.
- Verdict: The basic demo is available, the technical documentation is good and the product trials were done already.
Usage
TOKENS AND ROADMAP
- Sentinel Chain Token (SENC), will be primarily used as a medium of exchange for the Local Community Token (LCT) which is then used to make payments for services or participate in projects on the CrossPay Blockchain. Activity on the Sentinel Chain will be performed solely using the Sentinel Token.
- LCT can only be purchased using SENC and it will be pegged to the value of the country’s native currency so this way it will be stable. People will be able to purchase services with LCT.
- Verdict: Interesting system of two tokens: one stable and one volatile working together to create an ecosystem. The roadmap is okay but it will be a long time before the main system is live.
Competition and the future
- This a big project in scope so it will be competing with variety of projects that include insurance, loans, crowdfunding and more. A lot of competition there.
- However the aspect of combining CrossPay blockchain and Sentinel Blockchain into one big ecosystem is quite unique since usually the competition is more specialised.
- Roadmap:
- Q2 2018 - Beta testing of Sentinel Chain
- Q1 2019 - Sentinel Chain v1.0 will go live
- end of 2019 - Sentinel Chain v2.0 will go live

- Verdict: Very impressive. Team could be considered small but carried by experience, amazing partnerships and decent advisors.

Overall: While it's still very early the hype level is already signifcant - I expect there will be a lot of more interest in the future.
