3 ICOs to watch
22nd of January to 28th of January
CargoX (CXO)
CargoX
(CXO)
- CargoX aims to disrupt the global logistics industry by introducing Smart B/L documents based on blockchain technology, replacing old-style paper Bill of Lading documents.
- A Bill of Lading is a document issued by a carrier (or his agent) to acknowledge receipt of cargo for shipment.
- Most of the team members worked for 45HC.com which is a container booking platform on the Internet.
- Main sale starting on 23rd of January, 5ETH per person intitially for 3 hours.
- Hard cap and tokens: $7 million for 40%
Pros:
- really low hard cap of only 7 million
- initial contribution limit
- the project looks really high budget: website and whitepaper is superb
- very ambitious roadmap for 2018
- existing company with existing clients
- the idea behind the project and the blockchain usage is well justified
Cons:
- the competition in this sector is significant
- might be difficult for companies to switch to blockchain B/L
Experty (EXY)
- Experty allows experts to monetize their skills through a skype-like voice and video application.
- Payments are handled through an automated smart contract system using Experty’s native token EXY.
- Co-founders and core technical team were working for web consulting company ReactPoland.
- pre-sale staring on 22nd, main sale starting on January 25th to February 25th
- Hard cap: 9k ETH (so around $10 million) for 33%
Pros:
- the overall quality of the project does seem to be very high
- very low hard cap and low intitial mcap
- development schedule for 2018 is busy
- beta versions of the apps are there
- team behind the project is solid
- huge hype level surrounding the project which should increase the demand once listed
Cons:
- I feel that the app will have some issues with going mainstream
- the usage of EXY tokens is a bit forced but it does make sense
Ink Protocol (XNK)
- Ink Protocol is a decentralized reputation and payments for peer-to-peer marketplaces.
- Buyers will be able to view any seller’s reputation across multiple marketplaces, pay with escrow, and leave feedback for completed transactions.
- Sellers reputation is decentralised and public, so it is available anywhere.
- Pre-sale staring on 22nd of January, main sale 1st of February, end of sale 28th
- Hard cap: $5 million pre-sale, $15 million total for 30% of tokens
Pros:
- will become the new reputation and payment system within the Listia marketplace
- low hard cap of 15M
- existing company with large team that has been operational for 9 years
- solid partnerships and advisors
- unsold tokens burned
- interesting idea that seems to be nicely planned out
- small bonuses in presale
- token integration in February
Cons:
- Listia Marketplace isn't that big
- running on Eth so potential scalability issues
