The Exposition
Exposition
The setting took place on the sidewalk by an alley. Andy was wearing his purple jacket the read "THE ROYALS" on it. He was stabbed in the stomach by rival gang, the Guardians. He was in pain lying there bleeding on the sidewalk not knowing he was dying.
Rising Action
First he wondered why his voice has deserted him and why there was a hole in his body. Secondly, he didn't know he was dying because of his pride and Andy starts saying that "That was a fierce rumble" and They got me good this time". He tried yelling for help but couldn't. Next he was thinking of Laura (his girlfriend), if she was mad at him for leaving her, or she just went home from the jump. Next he thought of him marrying her. Next, he heard footsteps in the alley then saw a drunk man coming towards him and asking him "what's the matter?". The man was so drunk that he also thought that Andy was drunk because he was lying on the ground. The man was accusing Andy of under age drinking and let him get off easy when and asked him to call the police. Then the man left. Next, He denied he was denying he was dying. Next, a couple named Angela and Freddie walked through the alley and saw Andy. They were worried for him but left him because they didn't want to get involved between the gangs rivalry. Then, He realizes that if he died he was Andy and not a Royal. He realized the Guardians stabbed him because he was a Royal, not Andy.
Climax
Climax
He starts to realize that he was Andy and not a Royal.He starts to be saddened by that his life was going to end at sixteen. He felt like he has never done nothing. He thinks to himself that he doesn't want to die. He realizes that if is going to die, he wants to die as Andy and not a Royal. So it was important for him to talk of the Jacket. With lots of effort he slowly and painfully took off his jacket. The knife wasn't plunged into him because they hated Andy, but because he was wearing the purple jacket.
Falling Action
Andy rolled away from the Jacket. At 12:01 Laura found Andy after she left the dance to find him. Andy wasn't responding to Laura. Laura Started running until she found a Cop and took the cop to Andy's body.

A Royal
The cop looked down at Andy and saw the purple Jacket.The cop announced that he was dead. Then the cop said " A Royal, huh?" and Laura replied to the cop and said "He's name is Andy" He noted on his notepad "A Royal" and then began writing.
