Veyda : Lalani's best friend and she dreams of becoming a doctor.
Drum : Lalani's uncle who is mean to her because she is a girl.
Kul : Drum's son who is also very mean.
Usoa : She lives on Isa and helps Lalani reach Fei Diwata.
Fei Diwata: Helps Lalani by giving her and her village food.
Setting
Village of Sanlagitan: where Lalani lives with her mother.
Mount Kahna: where Lanani goes to help her village.
Isa: A place that no one has seen before but dreams of seeing it.
In the begging of the story there is a terrible drought. All of the villagers want rain. So they ask Kahna which is a mountain to give them rain. Lalani's friend Verda is trying to cure a sick baby but she can't because there are no plants

In the begging of the story there is a drought and Lalani and the villagers want rain. So Lalani ask Khana which is a mountain to give them rain. Lalani's friend Veyda is trying to cure a sick baby but can't because there is not enough plants.
Middle
In the middle of the story Lalani decides to go clime the mountain in hope of finding a plant that will help the baby. But instead she finds a man with no eyes that said he rescued her. He grants her a wish. But soon it was clear to her that it was a curse. It had rained for days.Lalani decided to try to make things right She decided to go to Isa.
End
End
In the end Lalani meets a girl named Fei Diwata who helps Lalani get back to her village and she sends birds to carry all the things the people on the village will need so they will not need to come back to Isa.

The problem of the story was there was a drought and they did not have enough food to survive. But they need to get plants to cure the sick.

The solution of the story is that Lalani comes back to her village with hundreds of birds that gives the villagers plants, food and water.So they will never have a drought again

The theme of the story is courage and kindness. In the story Lalani has to have courage to go to Isa to get food for the village. Lalani also shows kindness which helps her go back to her village.

I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I gave it five out of five stars because it was a great book and I enjoyed when they told the story of whatever creature Lalani was going to encounter before she encountered it.I would recommend this book to people who like adventure.
