Let's 'bout it!

Verse 14

The Farmer sows the Word.

Who is the Farmer?

How can the Word be sown?

Can we be farmers? How so?

Fell on the Path

Scorched

Earth

Explanation of the snatched up seed.

15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

Why do you think it is so easy for Satan to snatch away the Word in this situation?

What makes this a bad place for seed to grow?

No Root

(different from no edges lol)

No Root

The explanation for the rocky places.

16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

How can we develop our roots?

What makes this so hard to do?

Interesting that it was able to sprout but not last

Why do you think that is?

Issa Weed Boo!

Thorny

Ground

An Explanation for the thorny ground.

18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; 19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

Pastor said that this is where most of us fall. We hear the word - it grows - but then it's choked up and can't bear fruit. Note: it was able to grow - but it couldn't produce.

What can cause use to grow in God but then still not yeild fruit?

Yasss Good Soil

Good Soil

An Explanation of the Good Soil.

20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”

What do you think it means to "produce a crop" in our lives?

What is the difference between good soil and all of the bad?

Why should we want to be that Good Soil?

Potential is Real

The thing is, all of the bad soil still had potential.

It just meant that work had to be put in.

What could have resolved the issue with the path?

The rocky places? The thorny soil?

We all have the potential - no matter what bad soil category we are in today - to become that good soil if we put in the work.

How Sway?
