Malcolm X fought against racial segregation in general, not jut for the African American race. He did though, focus on the separation between African Americans and whites. Malcolm protested, gave speeches, and wrote books as a human rights activist. Although he did fight for the rights of all people being freely equal, he usually did this in a non-peaceful way. He believed in violent protesting was the way to get a "message" across. Many people did not approve or support this.
Since Malcolm protested violently he gained more enemies then other civil rights activist. Therefore many people wanted him dead, not just for protesting violently, but for protesting and fighting for rights in general. He was then assassinated on February 21, 1965, wile he was giving an address to the public, by 3 men. Thomas Hagan, Thomas Johnson, and Norman Butle.
