At the end of World War I, 116,708 American soldiers had sacrificed their lives. Less than 25 years later, their children witnessed the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
President Roosevelt famously responded, “No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.”
Following the attacks in 1941 until the end of World War II in 1945, over 16 million U.S. members had served with 405,000 service members losing their lives to war related causes.
Today, less than 400,000 of the original 16 million service members are still alive.
We aim to share their story.
The mission of this project is to create a connection between the younger generations and heroes of the past. By creating this connection, there can be an understanding of what WWII veterans went through and how their actions impacted the generations to follow.
We're doing this because this year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII.
To accomplish this objective, we are contacting nationwide, credible veteran non-profits to discuss project sponsorship and funding.
Examples include: Hope For The Warriors; United Service Organizations (USO); Honor Flight Network; and Bob Woodruff Family Foundation. Additionally, we are contacting local ROTC units, starting with our alumni Oregon State University Detachment 685, for support and resources.
This project will be shown on our currently established traveling account, Two Nomadic Hearts, on Instagram and Facebook.

For the purposes of our sponsors, if requested, Their Story can have a dedicated profile on these platforms without our personal traveling influence. All social media content and platforms will be up to the discretion of our team.
