- According to Wikipedia, A gang is a group of individual or associates that has control over a territory in a community and engages in many violence behavior.

Where It All Began?
Gang's started appearing in the late 1783, after the American Revolution ended. According to a website called "Where All the Madness Began: A Look at Gang History", Hispanic gangs started forming along the shore of California in the early 1920's. They started socializing in 'Barrios' (Neighborhood's) where a lot of custom, language and culture prevailed. Chicago had over 1,000 gang.
