About Emily!
Emily Dickenson was a famous american poet in the 1850's. She was born on December 10, 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts. Emily wrote all kinds of poems but, all of them rhymed - so no Haikus. She died on May 15,1886 in the same place she was born.
One of Her Poems
I like the poem ,'' Hope is the Thing with the Feathers!'' I think this great poem means that hope can fly by us all because it's the thing with the feathers- a bird! The poem sets a hopeful mood around me. Emily's poem has rhyme, rhythm, and metaphors. She is a talented writer!
