1st degree burns irratate the outer skin, can singe hairs and irratate the sweat glands

1st degree burns cause the skin to become painful, red, dry, but it does not cause blisters.

2nd Degree Burns

Skin looks red and blistered and can be swollen or painful

3rd degree burns

Afect on the skin

Third-degree burns (full thickness burns) go through the dermis and affect deeper tissues. They result in white or blackened, charred skin that may be numb. Third-degree burns are painless because the nerve endings have been destroyed.

Fourth-degree burns, burn through the skin and to the bones, muscles, and tendons. These burns normaly don't hurt like the third-degree burns because the nerves have been burnt off.

A burn nurse takes care of burn patients and they educate the families about burn care and treatment. Not oly do burn nurses physically take care of there patients, they help the psychologically and emotionally.

An Anethesiologist is a doctor who is trained in anesthesia and periopertive medicine.

Anesthesiologist apply a wide range of antibiotics because each burn is different and each patint reacts differently to each treatment.

Reconstructive surgeons do reconstructive surgery.

Reconstructive surgery is performed to treat structures of the body affected aesthetically or functionally by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. It is generally done to improve function and ability, but may also be performed to achieve a more typical appearance of the affected structure. Reconstructive surgery is generally covered by most health insurance policies, although coverage for specific procedures and levels of coverage may vary greatly.
