- Be 24 years or older when you file
- Be an orphan or a ward of the court
- Be a U.S. military veteran, be a graduate or professional student
- Be married
- Have legal dependents of your own and your independence has been documented

What requirements are needed to be a Dependent student?
- Be younger than 24 years old
- Give your parents information along with yours
- You need your parents tax information
- Not married
- Not a veteran
WHAT INFO DO YOU NEED?
Information you need
- Drivers license Number
- Social security number, a list of schools you are applying to or have already applied to
- Your tax return for the prior year and your parents tax return (if dependent)
- Your FSA ID
