Terrace farming
Terrace farming is when people make stair steps on like a big hill. What it does is help people be able to grow crops that live in really hilly areas.
Positives
A positive is that when people make the steps is making it to were there will not be mudslides. Another reason is that it gives other people a chance to grow crops because of the flat ground
Negatives
There are some negatives about terracing though, and it is that if the stair steps are not taken cared of they can easily lead to a mudslide. Another bad thing about it is that when people make the stair steps a lot of the time they are also destroying animals homes.
Solution
When we make these stair steps we need to make sure that if we destroy an animals home that we find them another home. And that when we are done making them at first that we take care of them so that there are no mudslides.
Slash and Burn
Slash and burn is when you find a large amount of trees and burn them down so that you have room to grow crops.

Slash and burn is a very fast way to grow crops. And when the trees are burnt down it gives the crops extra nuetrients.
Negatives
One negative is that when people are burning down the trees it is very easy for the fire to spread fast making it much harder to stop the fire. Another problem is that there are a lot of trees being cut down when people are doing this making it to wee there is less oxygen in th atmosphere.
Solution
In my opinion this is just a really bad method. But if people do keep doing it they need to plan it all out before going ahead and burning down trees because it could lead to a wildfire.
