Buck in this floor has Will completely acknowledge his fear of the ghost situation. After all Buck has passed away, although even as we now know this we also can see how visable his emotions can get. As well as how fearful this event is for the young teen.

Textual Evidence

Will finds out the pretty ghost is his first young love, from back when they were 8 years old. Unfortionately the moments between them cut short as Will hears, "GUNSHOTS...I remember Shawn screaming for us to get down...I remember staring at her...Her mouth, open bubble gum and bloor" (Reynold, 130-132).

Reasoning

Dani showed Will the image of them at the playground and it brings back all his memories from that day. It was the day he lost someone dear to him. It was how Shawn ended up teaching him the number one rule, no crying. Meaning through this one event with Dani, Shawn and Will himself, Will witnessed a distressing experience and began learning The Rules.
