UNIT 7

INDIVIDUALLY, students describe their most precious objects /

collections and tell a story on how they obtained / found them. Students should use quantifiers as well as articles when talking about their possessions.

UNIT 8

Individually, students make a presentation of an interesting article about a current issue in the world.

The presentation should include the most important points and supporting details. Students are expected to use reported speech when explaining the topic.

In PAIRS, students debate new (and imaginary) rules and regulations in their community; for example, “people are allowed to take their pets to public places, like restaurants”. They need to explain what the new rule is about and show agreement or disagreement. In order to do this, they are expected to use modals to show permission, prohibition, obligation and ability when possible.
