Both Windale options extend from the existing park-wide footpath allowing entry into the facility at two points.
The street plaza option is split across several levels bounded by 1.2m high banks. Some shallower banks are also enjoyable for those who are younger or less experienced.
This really is a terrain park where riders ‘pump’ around the extent of the facility without stopping. Skaters and riders can try out tricks at the edges, on hips, curved flat bank kerb and a keyhole in the low curved quarter.
A new amenities building is proposed at the Munro Street entry. DDA compliant carpark proposed nearby, for playground access.
The arrangement of skate and riding areas allows clear lines of sight from the road frontage. The elevated viewing is clearly visible.
Unlike Windale option 02 this option has a narrower entry footpath leading to the active area, with skate areas set back from the playground and pathways.

PATH THROUGH TO AMENITIES AND DDA PARKING
A unique ‘chute’ section to the very north makes use of the landing area allowing a flow around the top deck.
Windale option 02 allows young skaters and riders to flow around the park. With the focus on flow with some trick elements.
A broad section with a rounded roll in allows everyone to roll in without needing the next level of skill an confidence to ‘drop-in’.
Coping at the top of transitions allow dropping in and speed heading toward the central curved mogul and jump box element.
Unlike option 01, Windale option 02 has a broad entry plaza leading at grade from the existing footpath.
The new amenities building for Windale option 02 is proposed along the shared footpath. This allows easier access for the users of the skate, basketball and play area. A new DDA compliant carpark is also proposed on Munro Street.
The main seating and social area is at the southern end of the plaza with more casual seating steps looking out to the basketball courts.
