THE PB&J EXPERIMENT

THE PB&J EXPERIMENT

  • First you take a bite and chew with your mouth.
  • your mouth produces saliva.
  • You swallow the PB&J and it goes down your esophagus to enter your stomach.
  • Your stomach mixes the PB&J with stomach acid.
  • Then the PB&J moves to your small intestine where it gets mixed with pancreas, liver, and intestine jucies.
  • The nutrients are absorbed into the walls of the small intestine and then pushed down to the large intestine.
  • The large intestine absorbs water and the nutrients that are left. Then the large intestine changes the liquid waste into stool.
  • The stool is pushed from the large intestine out of the body through the anus.
