In 1956, The Federal-Aid Highway Act passed which called for the construction of 41,000 miles of highway systems throught the nation. It also allowed for the spending of $26 billion dollars.

The big issue with this system in the urban areas was the destruction of neighberhoods to build them on. Many of the places demplished where those where a majority of POC lived.

If you travel North or South the numbers will increase by 10s and end in 5s and increase from West to East.
