ABOUT RHONDA RICHARDSON

F

Thank you, by the way, for giving me the opportunity to be interviewed for this position. I appreciate your time and consideration.

E

I'm Rhonda Richardson. Thank you for this opportunity to interview with you today about the Dean of Students position at Gravois Park.

I applied for this position because I have skills and qualities that match the role; I have experience and qualifications that are relative to the position; I have significant achievements in my work and personal life which I can share; and because the type of person I am AND the ways I can help all students receive a quality education in a safe and supportive environment to aid them in future success through college and beyond.

In addition, the atmosphere and environment of the Eagle College Prep schools is extremely positive, creative, and forward-looking. This matches my own attitude about life and its ups and downs. If I am chosen for this position, I will try to embody and share my daily motivation: Every single day, we try to say and do things with a happy heart, we are resourceful during less pleasant times and help others when we ourselves are up, and we always strive to learn and grow by making and reaching goals in order to become better learners, better college students, better community members, and better in future career success.

Rhonda Richardson's Goals for the Future

If I am successful today, the first thing I plan to do is become competent in the role as soon as possible. I do not know how long this will take, but based on my high level of enthusiasm, I aim to be self-sufficient in this role very quickly.

Once I reach excellence in the standards of my role, I would like to consolidate my skills and become experienced within the team. It is very important to me to be accepted and respected by my work colleagues and peers, and, of course, I also want to do well on my evaluations.

So, I guess the short answer to this question is that I want to become good at my job, be accepted by my team and supervisors, and also enjoy my work as much as possible.

Skills and Qualifications

D

C

I am positive and enthusiastic.

I am self-sufficient and can collaborate with teammates, make proactive decisions and solve problems on my own, and can plan and prioritize my work by working backward, always striving for the result I want to see achieved.

I want to go above and beyond.

I am flexible and adaptable.

I am willing to take on extra tasks to help the team.

I am dedicated to assist in any way to make Eagle College Prep Schools leaders in positive results in both students' characters and academics.

We all have weaknesses.

Because I have high standards, I expect others to have them too, and this is not always the case.

Although it can irritate me at times, I have learned not only to just focus on my own consistent standards for my own work, but to also relax a little and learn to flow with the positive stream of school achievements.

Why You Should Hire Rhonda Richardson for the Dean of Student Position at Gravois Park

I want to work collaboratively with the principal and Dean of Instruction to create a culture aligned with the mission and vision of the schools.

I plan to partner with school teams to ensure students are growing academically and showing signs of good character.

I would like to help teachers create and/or implement a behavior system based on incentive and reward more than on punitive measures.

I feel very excited about perhaps exploring more about using restorative justice with lesser behavior issues.

I look forward to learning more about the Gravois Park community and how I can best engage with its members to help our students and graduates impact us all.

I enjoy challenges and overcoming obstacles and take a system-oriented approach in the individual learners themselves, then the course content, learning experiences, and instructional strategies that help each student succeed in both learning and developing character for future success in the "real world".

Rhonda Richardson: A Few Strengths Aligning with Job Description

I am a positive person who enjoys the challenge of working on difficult projects.

I have built up myriad transferable skills and qualities that seem a solid match for the position.

I have experience in both working solo and unsupervised and collaboratively with teams.

I appreciate that you have worked hard to mold Eagle College Prep Schools, and as I am adaptable to change, you can rely upon me to support you and the schools' long-term goals.

I am a fast learner. You will not have to spend your valuable time monitoring or supervising me. I am self-sufficient but also know when to ask peers for collaborative ideas.

Finally, I will ALWAYS take care to keep learning and growing and assisting others in our organization to do the same.
