Thank you, by the way, for giving me the opportunity to be interviewed for this position. I appreciate your time and consideration.
I'm Rhonda Richardson. Thank you for this opportunity to interview with you today about the Dean of Students position at Gravois Park.
I applied for this position because I have skills and qualities that match the role; I have experience and qualifications that are relative to the position; I have significant achievements in my work and personal life which I can share; and because the type of person I am AND the ways I can help all students receive a quality education in a safe and supportive environment to aid them in future success through college and beyond.
In addition, the atmosphere and environment of the Eagle College Prep schools is extremely positive, creative, and forward-looking. This matches my own attitude about life and its ups and downs. If I am chosen for this position, I will try to embody and share my daily motivation: Every single day, we try to say and do things with a happy heart, we are resourceful during less pleasant times and help others when we ourselves are up, and we always strive to learn and grow by making and reaching goals in order to become better learners, better college students, better community members, and better in future career success.
If I am successful today, the first thing I plan to do is become competent in the role as soon as possible. I do not know how long this will take, but based on my high level of enthusiasm, I aim to be self-sufficient in this role very quickly.
Once I reach excellence in the standards of my role, I would like to consolidate my skills and become experienced within the team. It is very important to me to be accepted and respected by my work colleagues and peers, and, of course, I also want to do well on my evaluations.
So, I guess the short answer to this question is that I want to become good at my job, be accepted by my team and supervisors, and also enjoy my work as much as possible.
I am a positive person who enjoys the challenge of working on difficult projects.
I have built up myriad transferable skills and qualities that seem a solid match for the position.
I have experience in both working solo and unsupervised and collaboratively with teams.
I am a solid communicator who will take good care with scholars, faculty, staff, parents and guardians, and community members.
I appreciate that you have worked hard to mold Eagle College Prep Schools, and as I am adaptable to change, you can rely upon me to support you and the schools' long-term goals.
I am a fast learner. You will not have to spend your valuable time monitoring or supervising me. I am self-sufficient but also know when to ask peers for collaborative ideas.
Finally, I will ALWAYS take care to keep learning and growing and assisting others in our organization to do the same.
