The Northeast region is about halfway between the North Pole and the equator, so the climate is greatly different from the Southeast region. Winter in the Northeast region is very long and cold. Blizzards are very common during this time of year. There is one type of blizzard that is called a Northeaster, can bring on over a foot of snow at a time! During winter months, Lake Erie can completely freeze over! Summers are warm, but not as long as in the Southeast.
The Northeast Region experiences weird weather. Winters are long and cold, with lots of snow. Recently this region has been experiencing heat waves and heavy downpour.

There are many different natural resources in the Northeast region. Some of the natural resources are, corn, apples, cranberries, milk, birds, potatoes, blueberries, evergreen trees, and water. There is also a variety of sea foods, like clams and eel. There are also many different types of metal, like iron and steel. There is also a lot of coal.
The major industry in the Northeast region is fishing. There are a lot of types of fish to catch. Some of the fish you can catch are, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Walleye/ Sauger, White Bass, and Bluegill.
There are a lot of cool landmarks in the Northeast region. But some of the most popular ones are, The statue of liberty, Central park, Times square, Acadia national park, and American falls.
