Our brain is made of many many intricate neural wiring which connects one part of the brain with another, allowing
different parts of the
brain to communicate
with each other.
In Synesthesia,
one part of the brain is connected much more intimately with another part.
For example, when a certain type of music is played, Synesthetes may associate it with swirling shapes of pink and yellow.
Synesthetes also find themselves relating to numbers and colours.
They may also give certain letters and numbers a
personality.
Some people may also hear a certain kind of noise when they see something particular.
These perceptions are not seen
inside the mind but outside through
the eyes.
Synesthesia is much more common with people who are left handed
It is not a disorder.
Synesthesia is caused by genetic mutations and is a celebration of neurodiversity.
Neurodiversity claims that everyone's brain is wired differently .
A new research has also stated that we all have synesthetic brains when we are born but we often lose those connections as we grow up.
