Summarize the consequences of drug use. (i.e., alcohol, tobacco [e-cigs/vaping], marijuana.).
There are many consequences from using alcohol both physical and mental.
-Physical Health-Lead to a wide range of physical probelms like liver damage, pancreatitis, cardivascular disease( high blood pressure,stroke, heart disease), weakened immune system, digestive issues, and increased risk for multiple forms of cancer.
-Mental Health- Abusing alcohol will increase the risk of developng mental health issues such as depression, anxeity, and bipolar disorder. The over consumption of alcohol leads to imbalances in the chemicals in the brain leading to these mental disorders.
-Imparied Cognitive Function- can lead to memory loss, probelms with your problem solving skills, and difficulty concentrating.
-Social and relationship Problems- Will put a strain on your relationships with your friends, family, and partner. Leads to conflicts and breakdown of trust. Can lead to bad impulse judgments within the moment leading to more issues such as legal issues.
-Occupational and Financial Problems- can lead to poor performacne at work, being late, or being absent all the time. Can result in jobloss and financial strain do to alcohol abuse.
-Increased Risk of Injury and Accidents- Alcohol abuse will impair your coordination making it diffcult to perfrom task such as talking, walking, and driving. Drunk driving is a major concern of people who abuse alcohol becasue you are now putting everyone at risk behind the wheel.

Increased Risk of Cancer-Tabacco is the leading cause of varies cancers including- Lung, mouth, and pancreatic cancers
Respiratory Problems-smoing tabacco leads to damaged lungs and airways. Can lead to probelms such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. These conditions cause weezing, shortness of breath, and reduced lung function.
Cardiovascular Problems. Tabacco use is the number one leading risk factor when it comes to things like coronary heart disease, heart attack, and stroke. Damages blood vessels leading to increased risk of blood clots.
Oral Health Issues- Chewing tabacco greatly increases your chance of mouth cancer, gum disease, rotting teeth, and stained teeth.
Reproductive Issues- Tabacco can cause reprodction problems for both men and woman. For men it can lead to ED or low sperm count and for woman it can greatly effect the baby if there is tabacco use during pregnancy
Addiction and abuse of tabacco can also casue financial burden. Smoking is not a cheap habit to have with some packs costing upwards to 10 dollars a pack.
Impaired cognative function- use during adolescence is linked to impaired cognitive abilites such decrease in memory, attention, and problem-solving skills.
Respiratory Issues-causes respiratory issues similar to smoking tabacco.
Mental Health Issues- has been linked to incresing the risk of developing mental health probelms such as depression, anxiety, and even pyschosis.
Impaired Coordination and Judgement- cause impairment in motor skills. Reaction times are lowered which will hinder your ability to perform task such as driving.
Legal Problems- In most places it is still illegal to smoke and or have marijuana on your person. This for some may casue probelms or issues with law enforcement.
