Why is the Fertile Crescent important?

THE FERTILE CRESCENT

1. It lies at the heart of the Middle East. It was named this way for its fruitfulness and its crescent shape.

2. It has been called "Cradle of Civilization", for it is here in the land of Mesopotamia that mankind established the first civilization after the Flood.

3. Many Bible scholars believe that the Garden of Eden, man's first habitation, was located somewhere in the Fertile Crescent.
