Al Sehw means forgetfulness
- Sujud Al Sehw is two prostrations and a sitting in between at the end of Salaat, after or before Tasleem, followed with Tasleem to rectifiy an unintentional mistake in Salat.
Ruling of Sujud Al Sehw
- You must do Sujud Al Sehw to fix any unintentional mistakes in Salaat. Although some Uluma say that it is Sunnah. Sujud Al Sehw is a must.
- Sujud Al-Sehw fixes only matters we do unintentionally.
- If an act of Salat is added
deliberately, the person has to stop the Salaat, make Tawbah for breaching the boundaries of Allah (SWT), then repeat the entire Salat.
If you add an act of Salat unintentionally:

- If you miss a Rukn unintentionally, and remember it before you got to the the same Rukn’s position in the next Rak3ah:
If you miss a Rukn but do not realize you missed it until you get to its position in the Rak3ah or after, what should you do?
- Taking away a Wajib (first Tashahud, saying Subhana Rabia Al-a’la, Subhana A’laa,...) deliberately is breaching the boundaries of Allah(SWT). Tawbah must be made and Salaat must be repeated
- If you miss a Wajib unintentionally, then you have 3 situations:
- This situation arises when you become confused whether you prayed 1 or 2 Rak’aat, 2 or 3 Rak’aat, 3 or 4 Rak’aat, made 1 or 2 Sajdas, …but you lean towards one situation more than the other.
