One Christian belief about sin is that God sent ten commandments in order to teach people what is expected, and failure to meet these expectations is a sin. We can find an example of the Ten Commandments in Exodus, which says "Do not kill", for example.

Another Christian belief about sin is that people who suffer will be blessed by God, we can see this in the Beatitudes, which says "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." This shows that people who struggle as a result of sin and evil will one day benefit from their relationship with God.
