Galileo Galilei is famous for discovering moons, finding the phases of Venus, exploring the stars of the Milky Way inventing the telescope, and many other things.
His main focuses were on astronomy and biology. HIs inventions ranged from compasses, to telescopes.
His childhood consisted of him growing up with his sisters and brothers in the Italy Renaissance in Pisa until his family moved to Florence in 1574.
He attended the Camaldolese monastery school in Vallombrosa in his early teens. In 1581, he was sent from his father to the University of Pisa to enrol in a medical degree. He then got sidetracked with mathematics and left before finishing his degree.
Not much of anything happened while Galileo Galilei was famous except the things he discovered like the moons of Jupiter, and the things he invented like the telescope.
Galileo Galilei worked with Johaness Kepler and became close with him.
Galileo, the European satellite navigation system was named after him.
