This piece of art uses abstract methods rather than traditional art methods in its creation. This method was used because most artists believed by this point, that World War 1 couldnt be acuratley depicted using traditional art methods. the complexity and distortion mixed together in this art piece potrays the same complexity and distortion seen in the war

This French piece of WWI inspired art was made in 1918 by Clifford Piexotto.

France

Clifford Piexotto was a famous artist in WWI and traveled to france to draw French landscapes. When the war broke out he had to leave, but towards the end of the war he came back to france, and started illistrating the destroyed french landscapes. This art is a picture of a local french village being destroyed.

This German WWI inspired piece of art is called 'Assult Troops Advance Under Gas' and was amde in 1924 by Otto Dix

This art piece represents many different things. The black and white and heavy use of dark shading as the picture goes farther down is meant to represent the difficulty and pain it took to advance through gas and the mess of people and the difficulty of seeing in this situation.
