"In one photograph on a balcony above the stands, a young man with a black mustache and wearing a top hat gazesdown on the president. It was the famous actor John Wilkes Booth". - p. 2

This is a photo of Lincoln giving his inauguration speach, with Booth in the crowd. He was probobly thinking about how easy it would be to kill him.

Booths Deringer Pistol

"Booth chose as his primary weapon a .44 caliber, single shot, muzzle-loading pistol manufactured by Henry Deringer of Philadelphia." - p. 16

The picture displays the pistol that Booth used to assassinate Lincoln. This pistol only could only be fired once, so his first shot would be his last. Unfortunately, he didn't miss.

What if Booth's Shot Missed?

If Booth had missed shooting President Lincoln, there would probobly be no need for this book or this presi! Lincoln, in one scenario, would have probobly continued as President for another term. In another scenario, Booth would have used his back up weapon, a knife, and killed Lincoln.

What if Booth didn't get locked in the barn?

What if Booth didn't get locked in the barn?

If Booth didn't get locked in Garrett's tabacco barn, this book would be about his excape through the south. Booth would have most likely gotton out before the cavalry closed in on him. He would have most likely survived and escaped through the South. Who knows, there could have been a whole second Civil War!
