It is infants' sensory-processing abilities, which range from the most basic to the most complex, allow them to carry out actions and make judgments. Perceptual abilities can take many different forms.

Types of motor skills:

The two primary categories of motor skills are gross motor abilities and fine motor skills.

a-Large limb movements or the entire body, such as walking, are examples of gross motor abilities.

b-Using the fingers to grasp and control items helps children improve their fine motor abilities.

Programs

Several of the tasks in a perceptual-motor curriculum provide kids practice crossing the midline. These consist of actions like reaching across their bodies for balls or beanbags before hurling them towards a target. They also include of activities like stepping sideways while crossing one foot over the other or putting your right elbow to your left knee and vice versa. A knowledgeable teacher can identify issues and suggest a child for specialized assistance, preventing worse problems in the future.
