What?

Triple: A cluster of three

Entente: Literally translated from French to English means agreement. It could also mean in english:a friendly understanding or informal alliance between states or factions.

Who When? A little information

The triple entente was an alliance formed in 1907 by the British, French and Russians, in response to the Triple Alliance formed by Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy in 1882. Ultimately the Triple Entente served as the backbone for Western defense during WW1, although it quickly dissolved soon after.
