VIP Academy Graduation Expectations
Location Details
When: Friday, May 26, 2023
Where: Macon Coliseum
Time: Ceremony begins @ 1 PM; Students must arrive by 12 PM
Graduation Practice
Graduation Practice
Mandatory graduation practice is required, and will occur on the following dates:
- Wednesday, May 10th, 10 AM-12 PM @ PLC next to VIP Academy
- Thursday, May 11th, 2:00 PM-4:00 PM @ PLC next to VIP Academy
- Wednesday, May 24th, 11:30 AM @ Macon Centreplex
Participation Requirements
Participation Requirements
- The High School Diploma is awarded to students who have satisfied the attendance requirements and met Carnegie Unit Requirements.
- You must complete and receive the credits needed for each core class (4 English, 4 Math, 3 Social Studies, 4 Science, pass Health and PE, and take and pass CTAE (3) and Electives (4).
- All classes must be 100% complete in Imagine Learning with a grade of 70% or higher by May 19th. NO EXCEPTIONS!

- Attendance at graduation rehearsal is MANDATORY.
- Any student who does not attend the rehearsal may not be permitted to participate in the graduation ceremony.
- This graduation represents VIP Academy's first ever commencement ceremony. Participation is highly encouraged!

- All students eligible for graduation must satisfy all outstanding debts prior to participation in rehearsal and graduation ceremony.
- The school administrator may hold report cards or diplomas until outstanding fees are paid. Transcripts are not subject to holds.
- All school-issued computers, books, etc. must be turned in prior to graduation as well.
Dress Code Requirements
Dress Code
- All students are required to wear caps and gowns.
- Appropriate academic and dress attire are required for participation in graduation ceremony.
- Decorating graduation caps are not permitted.

- Students should wear black dress shoes.
- Sneakers, sandals, flip flops, and slippers are inappropriate and should not be worn.
Gentlemen's Attire

Men should wear black trousers, a white dress shirt, and a black tie under gown.
Ladies' Attire
Ladies
- Ladies should wear black dresses that are shorter that the gown , but not more than two inches above the knee.
- Ladies are strongly encouraged NOT to wear heels higher that 2 inches.
Guest Expectations
- Guests should wear attire that is appropriate for graduation.
- Loud or lengthy expressions of exuberance for one graduate distracts from the attention the next graduate deserves.
- Noisemakers, beach balls or other items that may disrupt the ceremony should not be brought into the Coliseum.
- Balloons are prohibited.
- Clear Bags Only!!
- Violators and others who display disruptive behavior will be escorted from the premises by Bibb County District Campus Police and/or other authorized personnel.
- Please arrive early for handicap parking.
- Guests must show tickets at ticket booth entrance.
- Doors will open only 1 hour before graduation.
